MIDWINTER 2 REVIEW
BY MARK KNIGHTON
I liked the first midwinter a lot but I was not happy because
it was too easy so when midwinter 2 came out I was hoping for more of
a challenge and I got it.
The first thing that I came across was the constant disk swaps,
surely rainbird have heard of packing, after about 20 minutes making a
campaign disk I finally got going, the editing feature ws great, you
have a lot of faces to choose from and it's easy to make a face much
like your own.
Getting into the game is quickly done but again the constant
disk swaps were very annoying, you have loads of options and bst of
all lots of vehicles to use, this game is like playing the original
20+ times over because instead of one island to liberate you have
loads of them.
You also get more involved with the people of each island, you
can send them on missions for you but you have to be careful because
some of them will betray you, after a while you get to know who is who
on each island so you can avoid them easily.
There is so much to this game I would find it hard to tell you
about it all but I will say go out and get this game if you have not
got it.
8/10 (10/10 if there was not any disk swapping)
